Olympic champion Andrei Aramnau to stand trial in Barysau
The hearing of a criminal case started against an Olympic champion Andrei Aramnau is taking place in Barysau inter-garrison military court. Let us remind you, the sportsman was detained for drunken driving. Aramnau was deprived of his driving license for three years after the first incident. The case was sent to military court because Aramnau is a domestic army soldier.
The prosecutor has suggested fining the sportsman for 5 million 250 thousand roubles. The maximum punishment for this infringement is two years in a labour camp or a six-month arrest.
Aramnau said that he had understood his guilt and repented, he claimed that his behavior had been childish. “I will not do it again”, - “Nasha Niva” quotes the sportsman.
The sentence will be pronounced at 12 p.m. today.
