New N.R.M's album to hit stores next week

One week ahead of the release, the European Radio for Belarus obtained the design and the content of CD cover for N.R.M's new album titled "06". Our journalists also talked to the band's frontman Liavon Volski about the new album.
Liavon Volski: “The album is titled “06”. The cover depicts numbers 0 and 6 and some wierd symbolysm. There are 14 songs. They are of totally different styles. There are even those that have no drive. Brass instruments were used in the two songs. In the Mensk and Minsk song, we used violocello”.

The songs from the previous album "Dom Kultury (The House of Culture) were conceptually combined into an audio play performed by the band. In this case, we are dealing with 14 tracks which are not conntected between themselves.

But those who like the conceptual works of the band will not be disappointed anayway. The CD is accompanied with a booklet of seven pages, which contain the pictures of the medals of the Independent Republic of Dream (N.R.M) apart from the texts of the songs. But the new CD's surprises do not end here.

Liavon Volski: “Our kids sing the refrain of the song written by Alezis. By the way, Alezis both composed and wrote the textst for three songs on this CD. One of them, probably the hit, is titled "Mama, Tata heta ja" (Mother, Father is me). It closes the album, and we have our kids' chior singing in this song”.

The name of the album -- 06 -- is explained by the fact that most of the songs were composed and written in 2006.

Liavon Volski: “That year was rich with event. There was a big student revolution… And we would go there as if to work. We remembered that very well. So there are three songs devoted to those events. In fact, everything was created in a candid and easy way. We did not force ourselves”.

“06” was recorded at a studio in Minsk. The musicians had whatever they wanted:

Livon Volski: “We rented a very expensive equipment and instruments.... We did the sound also here in Minsk, but mastering was made in Goeteborg, Sweden”.

Not released yet, the album has already gained a certain context. They say the studio were N.R.M mastered their CD was once used by the legendary ABBA. Have the musicians brought along anything legendary? We have only one week to wait for an answer to thios question.
