“Nasha Niva” becomes colour and refuses from Tarashkyevich's grammar

The independent newspaper deprived of any possibility to be distributed, subscribed for and sold in “Belsayuzdruk” news-stalls for three years will finally become available in news-stalls. The print run of the “official” issue has increased by 2.5 times. The editor-in-chief of “Nasha Niva” Andrei Dynko has told ERB that the edition will be out once a week. Half of the newspaper will become colour. Furthermore, the newspaper has decided to use the official grammar. According to Andrei Dynko, it was very difficult to take the decision.

“Nasha Niva” will use the official school grammar starting from this issue. We are going to attract new readers. Our experience and surveys have demonstrated that the classic grammar was a physiological barrier on our way to this goal”.

In the opinion of the editor-in-chief, it is essential that the newspaper has started being printed in Belarus. At the same time Andrei Dynko noted that it cost a quarter more that in Smolensk.

“We do not know how much state editions pay for printing. It is a commercial secret. However, we can prove that printing in the Belarusian printing house costs a quarter more that in Smolensk. Moreover, the Belarusian printing house demands front money which is not advantageous. However, printing in the Belarusian printing house allows us to save time. We can bring the latest news to people. And printing at home rather than abroad is physiologically important”.

It is worth mentioning that the print run of “Nasha Niva” has increased by 2.5 times. It is 5 thousand 200 copies now. The editorial staff hope that the print run will keep increasing.
