Ministry of Healthcare: “swine” flu carrier undergoes treatment
The first case of swine flu has been registered in Belarus. The fatal disease was brought to our country by a Chinese citizen on August 10. The press secretary of the Ministry of Healthcare Volha Shulpina has told ERB that the patient is undergoing treatment in hospital. Doctors cannot say when he fell ill.
Volha Shulpіna: “God knows when he fell ill. Every disease has its delitescence. If a person falls ill today it does not mean that it is going to be clear today”.
According to doctors, 37 people contacted with the patient. Their medical and laboratory check-up revealed that they were not infected. The Ministry of Healthcare stresses that the epidemiological situation in the country is under control.
