Lukashenka: Political provocateurs bother me too (video)

On Friday, August 21, Alyaksandr Lukashenka met in Minsk with the Chairman of Gazprom Alexei Miller. The Head of State said that Belarus is ready to give the Russian company, "if necessary", the possibility of a bigger natural gas transit. Mr Lukashenka stressed that there are no problems in relations with Gazprom, there are only issues of cooperation prospects. Mr Miller said his company will fulfill all its obligations to the Belarusian side.

As reported by the Euroradio, Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Alexey Miller laid today a commemorative capsule to mark the start of construction of the multifunctional complex Gazprom in Minsk. The Head of State stressed that in these "difficult times" the Russian company "started construction costing a quarter of a billion dollars."

Also during the meeting with Mr Miller, Mr Lukashenka spoke of the Belarusian-Russian relations.

"I'm tired already of reading news from Russia, BELTA quoted Alyaksandr Lukashenka. I am bothered by all kind of political weathercocks and provocateurs. I just do not know why this policy in Russia exist. But that's their business."

According to Mr Lukashenka, Russia should not doubt the sincerity, integrity and reliability of Belarus. He asked the head of Gazprom to convey this position of the leadership of the Russian Federation.
