Lukashenka phones Putin to discuss Crimea
The Belarusian and Russian Presidents talked yesterday, RIA Novosti reports.
A number of issues including “the situation in Ukraine and the referendum in Crimea” were discussed, Lukashenka’s press service reports. Besides the discussion of “the tense situation in Ukraine”, “the historic importance ... of the unification of the peninsula with the Russian Federation were mentioned”, Putin’s press service added.
No information about Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s support of Vladimir Putin’s actions in Crimea has been reported so far.
