Lukashenka to meet Russian foreign minister in Minsk

Belarus President Aliaksandr Lukashenka will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Minsk during the latter's working visit to Belarus on May 15-16.
According to earlier reports, Lavrov is scheduled to meet with his Belarusian foreign policy chief Uladzimr Makei to discuss "a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues." The expected meeting with Lukashenka has been reported by the press office of the Russian MFA, which says that the implementation of the joint statement of the head of Belarus and Russia passed on December 15, 2015 in Moscow as well as the programs of coordinated foreign policy actions will be discussed.
The Russian foreign policy chief is also set to meet in Minsk with political analysts, representatives of unknown non-governmental organizations, professors and students from the International Relations Department at Belarus State Unversity.
