Lukashenka hopes to develop cooperation with EU
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has congratulated Donald Tusk on the re-election to the position of the President of the European Council. Tusk’s work will continue strengthening the position of the European Union in the world, Lukashenka believes. The Belarusian leader also expressed a hope that joint efforts of Belarus and the EU ‘would promote the development of interstate cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest’, the President’s press service reports.
Donald Tusk will turn 60 in April. He used to be Prime Minister of Poland in 2007-2014. He was first elected President of the European Council on August 2014.
