Lukashenka describes his election campaign

The presidential election in Belarus is going to be quiet this year, Alyaksandr Lukashenka claimed again. It happened after yesterday’s appointments in the Ministries, diplomatic corps and local executive committees. The President advised the local authorities should avoid populism during the election campaign.

Lukashenka: “The harvesting will start in Hrodna and Homel Provinces within 2 or 3 weeks. It is necessary to do everything properly, we need discipline. People should work and get paid for it. This is my election campaign. If there is no result and we start talking to people, it will be like mumbling. That’s it.”

The Central Election Committee is going to appoint the presidential election for October 11. MPs may approve the date on Tuesday.
