Lufthansa cancels flights from Minsk due to pilots’ strike

"The today’s flights have been cancelled due to the strike. If the strikers’ demands are fulfilled today, the flights will not be cancelled tomorrow,” BelaPAN quotes the company employees.

According to the schedule, the flight Minsk- Frankfort on the Main was appointed for 1.40 p.m. and Frankfort on the Main-Minsk – for 8.40 p.m.

Lufthansa pilots are on a two-day strike (October 20 and 21). The airline is going to cancel 1450 flights. Lufthansa wants the pension age to be increased by a few more years and the trade union is trying to prevent it. The airline does not want to compromise. The pilots of the biggest European airline have organized seven strikes since April 2014.
