Living wage increases by 1 bottle of vodka
A new living wage has been approved. It is now 185 360 BRB while the old one was 179 100 rubles. It is not difficult to count that the living wage has increased by 6 260 BRB – this amount of money is enough to buy a bottle of cheap Belarusian vodka. “The new living wage is now being considered by the Ministry of Finance. It will be introduced starting from August 1”, - informed the Ministry of Labour and Social Defense in the interview with reporters from “Komsomolskaya pravda v Belorussii”.
“Children’s” welfare has also increased. The amount of money people receive when their first child is born is now 926 800 BRB (it used to be 895 500). When the second child is born parents get 1 297 520 BRB (they used to get 1253 700 BRB).
Monthly child care welfare for children under the age of 3 has increased by 4 thousands and is now 120 500 BRB.
