Journalist Ales Asiptsou detained in Mahileu

Asiptsou was on duty interviwing workers about various economic issues, when a stranger approached him and introduced himself as an ideology department worker. He asked the journalist to follow him.

Asiptsou was led into a room near the entrance checkpoint. A policeman was there. He said that taking pictures or polling the workers at the plant was not allowed. The land adjacent to the plant was also considered the territory of the enterprise, he claimed.

The journalist was let off without any detention report about an hour later.
