Government calm as Ukraine's phosphorous cloud heads to Belarus

Toxic phosphorous clouds released after a train carrying the chemical derailed in Ukraine's Lviv region, are heading towards the territory of Belarus, according to the information voiced at the extraordinary sitting of the civil defense headquarters of the Volyn region, writes Teleraf.by.  It means that Ukraine's Volyn region which borders with Belarus has already felt the consequences of the accident. Harvesting has been suspended in several districts of the Volyn region, while residents are told to remain indoors and not to swim in the local lakes or drink milk.

Belarus's Ministry for Emregencies told Belapan news agency that threat did not exist yet for Belarus.
