Gazprom offers Belarus gas for $200 in 2010

Beltransgaz can purchase 22.1 billion cubic meters for $4.42 billion from Gazprom in 2010, the meeting of Gazprom's shareholders decided on June 26 in Moscow. It means that the cost of gas for Belarus will become $200 per 1000 cubic meters, notes Belapan.

In 2009, Gazprom will ship 22.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Belarus.

Belarus deputy premier Uladzimir Siamashka said in Minsk on Friday that the cost of the Russian gas for Belarus was tied with the oil  world prices. Early this year, gas cost $210 per 1000 meters. From April 1, the cost was $157; from June 1 -- $115. According to Siamashka, the cost of the Russian gas for Belarus would be approximately $119 towards the year end.
