Free Wi-Fi at Kastryčnickaja and Kupalaŭskaja metro stations in Minsk

Wi-Fi connection will be available at the major Kastryčnickaja and Kupalaŭskaja stations of the Minsk metro system, Valery Shkuratau, director of the Capital  City Transport and Communication company said during a meeting at the Minsk City administration on Monday. The implementation of the project is now in progress. Later, Wi-Fi signal will also appear at the other metro stations.

The city news agency Minsk-Naviny, Wi-Fi spots may also be installed on the ground public transportation vehicles - for example, on the buses that transport passengers from Minsk to the international airport. Officials refer to the experience of Estonia, where "high-speed mobile internet is available on any public transport." In summer 2019, Minsk will host the 2nd European Games when thousands of foreign athletes and tourists are expected in Belarus.
