Football: Ukraine fans locked up, fined in Belarus

Several Belarusians were also found guilty of petty hooliganizm and ordered to pay Br 600 000 ($60) each. The fans were detained on October 9 after the Euro 2016 qualification match between Belarus and Ukraine at Barysau Arena. The police detained a total of some 30 people. Commenting to Euroradio, the Ukrainian fans said they were detained for white-red-white Belarusian national symbols - not for degrading Russian president Putin.
