Fire victims to get penalized in Pinsk
The Pinsk City Department of the Emergencies Ministry has proposed to fine those who are responsible for fires. Rescuers calculated that out of ten blazes, four are caused by household owners.
Fire-fighters are especially at odds with the local alcohol addicts who are the main cause of fires. However, every fire-fighting mission costs the state a lot of money.
The local prosecutor's office has backed the proposal from rescuers and has already filed 12 lawsuits with the local court, seeking money compemsation to the state.
Those responsible now suffer twice: when they have their property destroyed by fire and when they have to pay fines for the lack of vigilance.
