Film “Lesson of Belarusian” wins at Prix Europa festival

A documentary “Lesson of Belarusian” by a Polish director Miroslaw Dembinski has received a prestigious prize at the festival Prix Europa. The ceremony of award took place in Berlin on Saturday evening. The film was nominated as “The best European documentary”.
One of the film’s heroes Franak Vyachorka informed ERB about it from Germany:

“A yearly festival of TV and feature films has taken place in Berlin. Films from all over Europe took part in it. Belarusian films including a film by Yury Hazhchavitski “Square” were also presented there.

“Lesson of Belarusian” was nominated in various categories and got the prize of the Council of Europe. The reward was presented by representatives of the European Parliament and the administration of the Council of Europe”.


The film “Lesson of Belarusian” dedicated to the events of the presidential election campaign in March informed about the humanities lyceum of Yakub Kolas closed by the authorities and about its pupils. It is the 16th reward the film has received.
