FC Daryda: We have no players left

Will the capital’s football club be disbanded? A football club “Daryda” may not be allowed to take part in the first league of the Belarusian Cup. The disciplinary committee of the Belarusian Football Federation has asked the executive committee of the BFF about it, informs BelTA.

The club is accused of violating the existing regulations and the disciplinary code. “Daryda” tried to protest against unfair referees last season and boycotted a match with Mikashevichy “Hranit”. The club was announced technically defeated and fined.

The director of “Daryda” Yauhen Shabunya gave an interview to ERB and expressed an opinion that the Football Federation had no right to forbid the club to take part in the championship.

Yauhen Shabunya: “We have already been punished. For one game… A team may be forbidden to take part in the championship for two games. Let them read the rules”.

Yauhen Shabunya visited the federation the other day. According to him, they demand that the team should pay a 26 million rouble due. However, the cub is not going to do it.

Yauhen Shabunya: "They said that we had to pay a 26 million due. I replied that the due should be paid by the referees who had stolen 9 points from us as Dzelendzik said (the head of the club – ed.). They killed the team and now they are asking for dues! Then they said that they would not allow us to sell our players abroad is we did not pay. But we have nobody to sell”.

According to Shabunya, there are no players in the club and they are not afraid of the federation’s sanctions.

Yauhen Shabunya: “Let them do what they like. We have no players – we have given them all to other clubs”.

It seems that “Daryda” will be disbanded. The team’s stadium was sold last year and all its players have left. However, the final decision will be taken by Uladzimir Dzyalendzik who is away at the moment.
