Elections of European Union President to take place today
It will become known who will occupy the position of the European Union President and the High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy today. The decision has to be taken at a summit of leaders of EU member states in Brussels. The current PMs of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg, former British PM Tony Blair and former Latvian President Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga are among the aspirants for the presidential position.
