Election campaign pickets banned near government buildings (photo)

Towns in the Brest region have measured differently the areas banned for election pickets. The local council in Pruzhany was the first to introduce a ban for public pickets during the elections which cannot take place within 20 meters from the strategic buildings.



On February 5, the local councils in Brest and Pinsk passed similar decisions. In Pinsk, it is banned to come closer than 100 meters to the government buildings in order to collect signatures for candidates. In Brest, it is not allowed to stage a picket within 200 meters from the building of the state television.
