Drivers to be allowed to use public transport for free

The Ministry of Nature has asked regional executive committees and Minsk City Executive Committee to allow such an action, reports “People’s Newspaper”. If the initiative is approved, everyone who has a driving license will be able to use it as a ticket in public transport.
According to specialists, transport organizations will not suffer great losses because of the action. Thousands of Belarusians leave their cars idle on the World Carfree Day every year. By the way, heads of organizations and institutions are recommended to encourage such workers.
