Chinese dairy products not sold in Belarus

The Chinese-made dairy products are not registered with the local healthcare authorities or sold throug the domestic trade network, Valiantsina Kachan, the country's chief sanitary doctor, said in a statement. Belapan news agency says the statement was prompted by the international scandal over Chinese foodstuffs. A certain Chinese company that produces baby food has added melamin into the dry milk powder to boost protein levels. Over 53,000 babies were reportedly poisoned by this mixture in this country. Some cases were lethal. The EU has launched all-out tests of China-produced products.
