Belarusians evacuated from Yemen on Russian plane
About 140 citizens of at least 6 states have arrived on board the Il-62.
The Russian airplane Il-62 has evacuated about 140 people from Yemen. There are citizens of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, the USA and Yemen among them. It is not clear how many Belarusians have arrived in Russia.
An international military operation directed against Shiite militants was conducted in Yemen. Their territories were bombed. Over a thousand people died and more than 4 thousands were wounded in Yemen last month.
The Russian airplane with refugees landed in Chkalovski airfield near Moscow. All the people underwent passport, medical and customs check-ups. Belarusian diplomats will help the Belarusian citizens. Another Russian plane evacuated people from Yemen earlier. There were Belarusians among them.
