Belarusian university to train nuclear engineers
Belarus' higher education
establishment is to begin training workers for the country' future nuclear
power plant this year. Belarusian
National Technical
University has launched
courses entitled "Steam Turbine Units for Nuclear Power Plants" and
"The Construction of Heat and Nuclear Power Plants."
However, competition is not
very high. Twenty nine persons applied for the steam turbine course, which
enrolls 27 students, and 29 want to be trained in building nuclear power
plants, but the enrollment is limited to 25.
