Belarusian senator deprived of immunity status

The member of the permanent commission on economy, budget anf finance at the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament, the Council of the Republic was deprived of the inviolability status, probably in connection with the criminal charges filed against him by the law-enforcment. However, the exact reason behind this decision is yet to be known, notes BelaPAN. tut.by portal adds that the senator could have already been arrested back in late June right at the session of the Council of the Republic. 

Vital Kastahorau was elected as a member of the Council of Republic of the 5th convocation from Mahileu region. The senator is a successful businessman (CEO at CJSC Polytex). He was recognized as the Enterpreneur of the Year in Mahileu region many times.
