Belarusian cuisine channel on Youtube
The new channel is called Little Brest Cook.
A Belarusian cooking channel has appeared on Youtube. Sisters Alena and Volha Talatynik from Brest are its authors. The idea appeared because of their love of cuisine and making videos, the young women say. They have made the video blog Little Brest Cook by uniting the two hobbies.
There are 9 videos on the channel now. They can be used to cook festive and everyday Belarusian dishes. The recipes are from the book Lithuanian Cook.
“Why Lithuanian Cook? It is the first full-fledged Belarusian recipe-book. It was very successful and has been republished many times since 1854. Secondly, it is a unique historical document and every Belarusian should know our history,” Volha Talatynik told Euroradio.
The project is unique, the sisters say. Little Brest Cook is the first Belarusian video cooking blog. It is possible to find video recipes of Belarusian dishes on the Internet but all of them are in Russian.
Sisters Talatynik are going to release videos every Thursday.
