Belarusian Christian Democracy activists detained in Homel

Kastus Zhukouski and Siarhei Tryfanau, the activists with the Belarusian Christian Democracy were today detained at 6 a.m. by the police in Homel. The young men were taken to Homel's Central District Police Department and charged with violating the public order. They could appear in courts today. The police have declined to comment why the activists were detained.

Opposition plans to stage a street rally on Freedom Day in Homel like in many other cities across Belarus.
