Belarusian-born boxer challenges welterweight champion Daniel Santos

Belarusian-born Yuri Foreman, of Brooklyn, has advanced to the top of WBA ranking.
The WBA will call a purse bid for a match between super welterweight champion Daniel Santos and Yuri Foreman. The bidding will be overseen by Gilberto Jesus Mendoza and Jose Oliver Gomez and will take place August 10th at the WBA office in Panama City, Panama.

 

Foreman was born in Homyel to a Jewish family. His family moved to Israel when he was nine. Later the family settled in Brooklyn.
