Belarusian authorities hope that EU punishment is temporary
The Belarusian authorities consider the EU decision about benefits cancellation as a temporary one. The information has been distributed in the announcement of the Ministry of Internal Affaires of Belarus.
Let us remind you that starting from June 21 Belarusian export to EU countries is tollable without any benefits. According to the decision of the European Union, Belarus was excluded from the General System of Preferences.
The reason for the decision was the fact that rights of independent trade unions are violated in our country. According to independent experts, Belarus will be losing half a million dollars per year because of the benefits cancellation.
“Belarus… hopes that the necessity in establishing cooperation and good neighbourly relations between Belarus and the European Union will lead to reconsideration and cancellation of the decision in the near future”, - is said in the appeal of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affaires.
