Belarus suggests that USA should leave 7 diplomats in the country
The same number of Belarusian diplomatic representatives will stay in Washington.
Belarus is going to reduce the number of its diplomatic representatives in the United States of America to 7 and suggests that the USA should leave only 7 representatives in our country.
The deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Victar Haisyonak claimed it. According to him, Belarus would like to make a parity out of the number of representatives of the US Embassy to Belarus and the Belarusian Embassy to the USA according to the principle “1 plus 6”. The formula means there will 1 ambassador and 6 other diplomatic representatives.
He noted that 10 members of the Belarusian Embassy would return home soon. According to Haisyonak, Belarus expects the USA to cancel all sanctions imposed on “Belnaftahim”.
“This is the only way to continue negotiations”, - claimed the deputy Minister.
