Belarus starts increasing minimal pension time record

У Беларусі пачалі павялічваць мінімальны стаж для атрымання пенсіі

The minimal time record required to get a pension will be increasing in Belarus. It will total 15 and half years this year. Six more months will be added next year. The time record will reach 20 years in the end. This is indicated in decree #534 of December 31, 2015 officially published on the National legal Internet portal.

 

People who worked for 15.5 years and paid superannuation contribution to the social protection fund all the time will have the right to receive a pension after January 1, 2016. The term will be increasing by six months every year until it reaches 20 years.

 

Foreigners and people without citizenship working in Belarus will have the right for the same social protection as Belarusians.

Pensions will be recalculated according to the average wage at least every year, BELTA reports.
