Belarus ranked 72nd in visa restriction index

Henley & Partners, the company that specializes in international law in the field of citizenship and migration, has released its Visa Restriction Index which assesses how freely citizens of certain countries can travel around the world. The index lists 98 countries, with Belarus sharing the 72nd position with Georgia. The two nations have tyhe same index (56), which means the number of countries and territories that can be visited by Belarusians and Georgians without a visa.

Looking at our neighbors, Poland occupies the 16th position, followed by Lithuania (19). Russia is ranked 49th, while Ukraine is in the 65th place in this ranking.

Great Britain tops the list. British citizens can enter 166 countries without a visa. Denmark is the second, followed by Switzerland, reports Tourism and Leisure newspaper.
