Belarus proposes to rethink the Eastern Partnership

This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Alena Kupchyna in the plenary discussion at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership member countries. It was held in Baku in the fourth round of informal ministerial dialogue of the Eastern Partnership, reports interfax.by

In addition, the Deputy Minister made ​​a special emphasis on the need to establish a dialogue and cooperation between the Customs Union (future Eurasian Economic Union) and the European Union to create a common economic space between Lisbon and Vladivostok. 

There were also work meetings of Kupchina and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule as well as Deputy Secretary-General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmid. They also discussed the development of relations between Belarus and the EU.
