Belarus may be able to make money on pure water

Belarus may be able to export pure water with the help of Gazprom’s pipes, thinks an economist Leanid Zaika. Specialists predict a conflict that may be caused by lack of pure water in some African and Asian countries. About 70% of deceases are caused by dirty water there. In Leanid Zaika’s opinion, the majority of countries will face this problem in 10 or 15 years. Belarus may make use of it as there is still enough pure water for everyone here. Leanіd Zaіka: “Belarus has access to reserves of pure water. We have never had such a high-capacity chemical industry that could spoil all the country. The water that can be found 15 metres underground is artesian and pure. Minsk is one of those few cities were city water is artesian.  It could simply be bottled and sold. Some companies are already doing it. Pure water may cost more than oil in the future and Belarus may make money on it. Belarus may be able to use “Gzaprom”’s pipes to export water to the West.
