Belarus imports potatoes from Ukraine

This has been informed by the website fruit-inform.com. Rathe-ripes make the main scope of shipment of potatoes from Ukraine to Belarus. Rathe-ripe potatoes are exported in May-July. This is because the season of harvesting rathe-ripe potatoes starts earlier in Ukraine. 

Besides, this winter the Ukrainian exporters shipped late varieties of potatoes to Belarus as well for the first time ever. Low prices for potatoes at the Ukrainian interior market facilitated this.

However, according tot he prognosis, the export of the Ukrainian potatoes to Belarus will decrease in 2013/14, as the scope of production goes down while the prices grow.
