Belarus is first in Europe to prepare bill on climate protection
The concept of the new law on climate protection elaborated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection has been approved by the government.
According to the Ministry of Nature, a document of the kind has appeared in Europe for the first time. Its working title is “On climate protection”.
The concept includes all regulations connected with adaptation to the changing climate and such issues as financing, preservation of marshland, forest ecosystems and a number of other points.
Specialists of the Ministry of Nature hope that the bill will be included in the plan of preparation of bills in 2011.
