Battle of Grunwald reconstructed in Dudutki (video)

The two-day VII international festival of medieval music and culture Our Grunwald was held at the museum complex Dudutki not far from Minsk. It was dedicated to the 605th anniversary of the legendary Battle of Grunwald. The ancestors of Belarusians, Poles and Lithuanians defeated the army of the Teutonic Order and stopped its expansion back then.

People could see tournaments of knights and squires, archers and halberd wielders, a mass battle, performances of dance groups, master classes and ancient games.

The reconstruction of the ancient battle was the zest of the festival. Members of historical military reconstruction clubs from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Poland took part in it, BelaPAN reports.
