Average old-age pension totals 291BYN in Belarus

The average Belarusian pension totalled 291.4 roubles in October and September, BelaPAN refers to the National Statistic Committee. The disability pension totalled 260.3 roubles, the pension for families that lost their bread-winners was 196.4 roubles and the social pension totalled 163.7 roubles.

As of October, there were 2 million 605.5 thousand pensioners registered in Belarus. Their average pension was 283.5 roubles which is twice bigger than the living wage for pensioners.

 The pensions will go up by about 5% on December 1. Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed the corresponding law on October 13.The realization of the document will be financed by the state non-budget fund of social protection.

The pensions increased before the presidential election last time. They went up by 5% on September 1, 2015.
