Andrei Bastunets elected new head of Belarusian Association of Journalists

On April 24, congress of the Belarusian Association of Journalists unanimously elected new chairman - Andrei Bastunets. Zhanna Litvina, who had headed the organization since its inception, decided to leave the post (but she promised to continue BAJ further).

Andrei Bastunets was born in 1966 in Minsk. Being a graduate of the Law Faculty of the BSU, he is also a writer. He's been actively engaged in journalism since 1998, he was deputy chief editor of Femida NOVA, later he took up work at the Belarusian Association of Journalists. Until recently, he was deputy chairman of the Belarusian Association of Journalists.

The congress elected Alyaksandr Starykevich, Svyatlana Kalinkina, Mikhail Yanchuk and Alina Suravets as deputy chairpersons.
