Activist under house arrest during Lukashenka’s visit to Zhodzina

The head of an international association “Belarusian Chernobyl Union” Alyaksandr Valchanin has been put under house arrest in Zhodzina today. His phone and access to the Internet have been switched off.
Two police captains arrived to Valachanin’s flat in the morning and ordered him to stay at home and not to go out the whole day. “Police officers are on duty in my flat to ensure that I will not violate this order”, - informed the activist in his interview with BelaPAN.

He thinks that his house arrest is connected with Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to the town and that it was initiated by the local authorities.
