17:11 Belarusian Embassy to Israel finds out citizenship of the heroine of scandal
The information that the woman who is accused of sexual harassment of the Israeli President’s brother is a Belarusian citizen has not been officially confirmed yet. The ambassador of our country Ihar Lyashchenya informed the European Radio for Belarus about it.
Let us remind you that several days ago the Israeli press wrote about a Belarusian woman who had been illegally working at the tourist centre “101st kilometer”, was detained by the police and then made a scandalous announcement afterwards.
The Belarusian ambassador to Israel gave the latest information about the case.
Ihar Lyashchenya: “As far as we know, the detained woman had no documents that could tell what country’s citizen she was. We officially turned to the Israeli authorities and asked to allow us to meet her. We will plead for her if she is a Belarusian citizen. We have an idea what can be the person’s name and we are checking the version at the moment”.
The Israeli press notes that after the illegal immigrant made the scandalous announcement she acquired a status of witness and cannot be deported. She has been released until the investigation is over.
