15 dead in Maidan
Their bodies are lying in Maidan Nezalezhnosti, not far from the hotels Kazatski and Ukraine, Reuters reports.
All the people murdered on February 20 were middle-aged men. Oppositionists say that they were shot by snipers, lenta.ru reports.
The clashes between oppositionists, the riot police and soldiers were resumed on the morning of February 20. Activists forced the riot police out of their positions near Maidan Nezalezhnosti, European Square and Grushevski Street.
Opposition leaders agreed on a truce with the government last night. However, the riot police violated the agreement – Berkut tried to put the conservatoire on fire, Vitali Klichko said.
One policemen was killed and 29 people were injured, The Ukrainian Ministry of Health reports.
