Volha Karach to run for President?
Schoolteacher and Master of Political Science from Vitsebsk Volha Karach believes she can challenge Alyaksandr Lukashenka as the next presidential contender.
Belarusian Business Newspaper has published an interview with the head of the International Civil Initiative Centre Nash Dom (Our Home).
Karach has not commented on her possible participation in the presidential election in 2015 though. The woman reckons that she could compete with Lukashenka. “Lukashenka is good at making black ‘PR’ campaigns for male candidates and all male candidates play in the same field. Everyone has to prove that he is that No. 1 man in the country,” the politician noted.
There will be a single opposition candidate at the next presidential election, Karach thinks. At the worst, there will be two of them representing the left and the right.
