Money collected online and offline for victims of Belarus repressions

Calls have appeared on social media to donate money in connection with the crackdown on the opposition activists over the "mass riots" case. State media in Belarus have reported at least 26 people are facing charges. 

Laksej Lavonchyk has mentioned several methods to provide financial assistance to the victims of repressions: 

— PayPal: [email protected] (please mention "for families" to keep it separate from the money donated for those spending 15 days in jail; if you want to support someone you knoe personally, please specify the name;

— Bank account in Poland ("please PM and I will give you the bank details")

— personally in Minsk — Nasta Dashkevich;

— personally in London — Laksej Lavonchyk (+44 7939 919 877, please leave a message if I don't pick the call);

— personally in Warsaw — Natalla Drylenka

He also suggested that Belarusians in other cities of the world to start collecting money. "I pledge to publish daily updates about the collected money. On Sundays I will communicate the amount collected for a week," Lavonchyk added.

Money and parcels for the jailed activists are also being collected in Minsk. According to the human rights center Viasna, everyone can come on March 24 between 1700 and 2000 to the office of the Belarusian Green Party (vul. Fabrycyusa 4, 3rd floor) and bring things, foodstuffs and money.
