The activists of the committee to organize the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD) fixed up the crosses on October 27 after the session of their National Council. At the session, Christian Democrats discussed their plans for the upcoming electoral campaigns. Pavel Sevyarynets presided the session for the first time since 2010.

After the session, Pavel took part in the crosses installation together with Vital Rymasheuski and Dzyanis Sadouski. The memorial crosses are made of metal. In order to set the right, the activists had to look for stones at the neighbouring rye field.

The new belt road goes through the cemetery of the victims of Stalin's repressions. Previously, there were crosses only at the outer side of the road. Now, there will be crosses at the city side as well.
