Visas for Belarusians

The Embassy is expecting the sixth American diplomat to arrive in Belarus.

It may be done during the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei told BelaPAN.

The visa regime between Minsk and Ankara will be cancelled, Belarusian MFA told Euroradio.

Its representatives will visit Minsk in May. They are also going to discuss readmission issues alongside with the visa regime liberalisation.

The term of receiving a visa may be shortened to 10 days and the procedure may be simplified.

The Lithuanian Embassy in Minsk alone issued 180 000 visas to Belarusians within 11 months in 2014.

Deputy Foreign Minister Alena Kupchyna has said this to the journalists on December 13.

Belarus is in the first position as regards the number of Schengen visas given per one thousand people, the Minister said.
