Vilnius is bidding farewell to Kastus Kalinouski and his rebels today, on November 22. Hundreds of Belarusians have arrived in the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to attend the solemn event.  Dozens of white-red-white flags can be seen in broadcasts from Vilnius.

The service will be held in Vilnius Cathedral. The rebels will be buried in a chapel at Rasos Cemetery in Vilnius.

 

Vice PM Ihar Petryshchenka is the head of the official Belarusian delegation. Lithuania and Poland are represented by the Presidents.
