Triple Co. owner: We refused from construction in Sochi back in summer
The Russian media have reported today that the Belarus-based company Triple will not construct a biathlon stadium for the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi allegedly due to the current oil row between Russia and Belarus. Triple Co. owner Yury Chyzh told Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarusi that the decision to refuse from this project had been made as far back as in August 2009. The businessman said he refused because the Russian side had taken long to confirm a construction site and also referred to several other hurdles.
"Initially, the site was confirmed but it was later changed. But we had already spent several million dollars for research and design. We should have start building as time was going but there was no clear confirmation from the Russian side", said Yury Chyzh.
