Lapstevich: They made me kneel and booted me in the belly a few times

Euroradio: Were you really beaten yesterday?

Laptsevich: "I was dragged from the parapet towards the police bus. They put handcuffs on me and started hitting me in the back. They dragged me out of the bus, made me kneel and booted me in the belly a few times. Then they threw me in the police car where I spend about 20 minutes, then three more people were brought and we were delivered to Central District Department of the Interior. We were made to face the wall for three hours there. They took pictures of us without any reports and started letting us off one by one. It happened at about 11 o’clock".

Euroradio: Syarhei Androsenka who was also beaten yesterday informed Euroradio on air that he had been threatened. Were you threatened?

Lapsevich: "I didn’t, there were no attempts to threaten me. But they were mocking at us. I felt really bad when special police officers gathered and tried to humiliate me by saying: “Look, there is a sweaty monkey on the floor…”.
Euroradio: What are you going to do next?

Lapsevich: "I have not decided yet. But I have got acquainted with the other detained and with a human rights activist. She has already written a complaint and I have to go through a medical check-up to register the beating. I will probably do it and we will lodge a complaint to the Office of the Public Prosecutor”.
